She walks! and talks! and he's going to K soon!

Just a little Zoe update...she finally walks!  Like real toddler walking!  Ok, so she is still faster crawling, but at least she is putting some real effort into the walking and looks proud of herself when she makes it to her destination.

In other Zoe news, she has started talking up a storm.  At first listen it appears to be a steady stream of jibber-jabber, but if you listen closely, she is probably answering your question, singing a song, or letting Elijah (or Maggie) know how she really feels about being the little sister.  Things she has said recently in addition to the animal noises, everyone's names, yummy, 'dis', 'dat', cold, hot, all-done, and 'yeth'(yes).

"i tase it?" (taste) usually followed by "it good"
"see da crab?" followed by 'there da crab" She is very amazed that we keep tiny crabs in a tank in our house.
'tank ooo'  (thank you)
"up...down" A VERY high pitched "up" while standing on tippy toes followed by a low-ish "down" while squatting.  Super cute!

She also likes to "help" by pushing a cart or getting some bowls out of the cupboard.  Very helpful, indeed.

In Elijah news, we have officially registered for Kindergarten and are super excited about the school.  He went to their VBS a few weeks ago and is super excited about going back. However, he seemed appalled when we talked about how he will stay at school for most of the day!  (Welcome to the real world, big kid).  We even bought some used uniform tops and fleeces.  We joined the Y for the summer and he is LOVING the beach-entrance pool and all the splashing that goes with it.

In third baby news (calm down, no REAL news), our paperwork is finished and turned in!  Now we get assigned to a caseworker, schedule a home study and interview, do a profile book, and begin the waiting.  The profile book is just short a few picture updates and a page on Zoe, so that shouldn't even take too long.
