we made the switch to the forward-facing car seat that he can be in to 100lbs. not that i imagine he will still need a car seat at 100lbs, but still, it is nice to know he will not grow out of it. after plenty of research, we chose a seat and it arrived last week. christof installed it yesterday. so far, it is a big hit. he loves seeing us (well, just about anything would probably be better than the seat back) and out the windows. there is a small rearview mirror that he can see himself in, at which he loves to point. ps-i think his vision is just fine (the mirror shows a tiny little elijah). he also loves that he can drink while driving. christof did take a corner quickly and elijah threw his arms out just like when he was tiny. i guess he'll have to adjust to the new movement. a U2 song came on, christof turned up the volume (of course) and eli started to dance and smile for all he was worth, it was too cute. hopefully the switch will remain a happy one.
