these are the three words that best describe our family right now. Elijah's surgery went well, and we didn't have to stay the night! but, man, was it a long day. the surgery went longer than planned and then his oxygen saturation levels did not just bounce right back up to normal, so we spend most of the day in recovery hoping not to be admitted overnight.
we are now home, Elijah is doing fine (albeit pathetic) and is on plenty of tylenol with codeine. hopefully he'll be feeling back to his usual self by sunday. until then, we hope and pray for sleep (his and ours) :)
