summer fun

the month of july has brought elijah new toys, new pjs, new food (ok, candy), and new crazy fun. some of his old toys were being ignored, some he has just figured out how to use, and it seemed like it was time for a few new toys for our big 17month old.  he has new (hand-me-down) puzzles and new duplos (large legos), and has started to play with the shape sorter and push his truck and wagon.  summer is very hot in texas and means new pjs- he is just too cute in the alligator ones!  at the grocery store the cashiers now think he is old enough for a balloon (thank you), unfortunately the balloon is weighted with a lollipop.  now, no one has ever taught eli what to do with a lollipop, but apparently it is innate knowledge to a toddler.  we had a play-date with bailey and decided it would be fun to finger paint (outdoors of course-we are not crazy) with dyed pudding.  what a messy-fun time!  this summer is turning out to be a lot of fun!
