In the past week all of the Hamms have had a haircut. The most noteworthy, of course, being Elijah's first. We plan on having official "fancy" photos (read- not snapshots) taken this weekend in the Henry child sized rocking chair. A very large version of this photo will live in glory (or infamy depending on how it goes) on the Henry grandparent Wall of Photos. His hair was just looking a little scraggly since the IV he had in his head while in the hospital cause the nurses to shave the front half, and no one should have to have a scraggly looking hairdo for an official photo op. We were too scared to do it ourselves, least he wind up with one earlobe or something, so we went to a kids' hair salon. It was cute and way over the top, but the lady knew what she was doing, talked sweet to him, and went fast (all qualities to look for in a child hairstylist, I'm sure). She trimmed crown to match the front of his head and also cleaned up around his ears and hairline. Overall a cleaned-up generic little boy haircut (there wasn't a ton to work with up front), we'll try for a cool style once he gets some more hair. I was sad to see the long hair from the crown of his head go, but now it will all grow out together and not have the funny, wavy tuft on top of his head.
Before and after shots (yes those are cookie crumbs on his face-they totally bribed him and blew bubbles to keep him entertained):
